November
Took the old mountain pass route from Victoria down through into the Jaumave valley, stopping a million times to look at the next perfect agave.
This
road really shows the most diversity of form of these remarkable plants.
Also saw more Dasylrion berlandieri, Brahea dulcis, moorei, decumbens,
Yucca treculeana and Chamaedorea
radicalis.
We then headed off down
another dirt road in search of some different populations of Brahea decumbens
before stopping off at some tourist cabins at La Florida – deciding we would
stay there that night - and then into the town of Jaumave (How-MAH-bay) for a
meal before parting company with Rich and RL.
